JR Liggetts tea tree and hemp oil shampoo bar review

I recently decided I would dive head first into the no poo method. My only doubt with me managing to pull this of with out being put of was I didn't like the sound of using the usual baking soda method. I went on a mission to find what I thought would be the perfect way to substitute my herbal essences shampoo and conditioner with a all natural way to clean my hair. I stumbled across this little wonder watching Farah Dhuki on YouTube and her way of successfully going 'no poo' and she mentioned JR Liggett's shampoo bars and looking at her hair, I had to buy this product.

There is a wide choice of different shampoo bars to cater for all different needs I decided on the tea tree and hemp oil. This was because it was suppose to help with dandruff which I suffer from especially in the summer for some reason. I will admit it is very hard to find in the UK and found them on amazon.

Before I break into how fantastic this product has been for me personally. I have read many reviews from people who found it wasn't for them, so this method of going 'no poo' may not be for everyone. Personally I found the first week was a huge challenge to start my hair was oily, and didn't have the fabulous amount of softness which I had seen Farah Dhuki showing in her videos. The oiliness wasn't to bad and was manageable however for anyone who is struggling there are many recipes out there for chemical free dry shampoo.

After my second wash using the shampoo bar I noticed my hair was not oily and was slightly softer. However by the second day my hair was oily once again and became slightly tangled, after much research I decided to buy a boar bristle brush to help distribute the oils through my hair which worked wonders.

By the third wash the true beauty of this shampoo bar began to shine, no oil, no dry ends, no tangles and soft manageable hair. It was then that I realised I had found my no poo holy grail product. For anyone reading this hoping to find there perfect way of going 'no poo'  I would highly recommend this product.

October 2013 Favourites

Hey dolls! So it that time of the month when I must choose my favourite products of October 2013, so lets get started shall we.

To start my ultimate favourite has to be Lush Dark Angles Cleanser, this month for some unknown reason I had quite a bad hormonal breakout and since then I have suffered from really oily skin which means I have had to totally re-think my skin care routine. Thanks to this product I now have manageable skin which doesn't have an oily sheen to it by the end of the day I find it helps to contribute towards keeping my skin matte.

My second favourite has to be my Loreal paris collection privee, Doutzen' nude lipstick this is such a beautiful nude shade which is perfect for everyday use. It keeps lips moisturised and looking fabulous and stays put for most of the day with the odd touch ups. This amazing shade is one of only a few in the range which I plan on buying some time in the near future so I will be posting a review on them very soon.

My third favourite is a bit odd but I love it, its Radox passion fruit splash body wash a bit odd I know but every morning when I wake up and go in the shower I find it gives me a kind of pick me up and puts me in a better mood. It smells delicious and makes me so hungry that's the only bad point, but on the plus side it always makes me eat healthy fruits because that's what it leaves me craving.

My fourth miscellaneous favourite this month is the 3 for 2 sale at boots, yet again another very odd favourite but oh well I swear I keep boots going just on stuff I buy alone, this is only a recent favourite for the month but I definitely got my months worth in the few days it was on in October though to now.

Last but not least in my October favourites is Rimmel Londons nail polish which I have been obsessing over as you will see below in my weekly nails I created a three tier ombre using there new space dust polishes which look amazing and stay extremely well I will post a review on them very soon so keep checking back.

That's everything guys so yet again thanks for reading dolls,

Inversion hair growth including pictures

Hey guys and dolls so I recently had may hair cut short because I had ruined my hair with heat styling and washing my hair everyday. So I was looking on youtube on how to grow my hair fast and ways to keep it healthy while doing so, and in between all of the usual youtube videos about using no heat etc I found this method which claims to grow hair by 1 inch in a week.

In order to do this you will need:
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Small bowl
Towel

Method:
1. Measure out 4 tablespoons of olive oil into the small bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds.
2. Then leave it to for 2 minutes roughly to let it cool down slightly.
3.Once it has cooled down slightly put the towel around your shoulders as this can get quite messy
4. Start to massage the olive oil into the roots of your hair and also through the lengths of your hair.
5. Once your whole head is covered, tip your hair upside down and leave it in this position for 4 minutes, if at any time your start to feel light headed or dizzy etc stop immediately.

These steps must me repeated over 7 consecutive days and supposedly it helps the blood flow to the scalp therefore helping with hair growth.

Here is a picture of my hair after being cut on the 02/09/2013:

( please excuse how I look with no make-up on)

From the picture above it is very clear that my hair has grown by quite a lot when measured my hair has grow one inch and a half. Eeeeek. I have to be honest I didn't actually think I would work so well. I highly recommend this hair growth method, I will re do this every month to help aid my hair growth.

If any of you have tried this before then please comment below and let me know if it worked for you.

How to do a fishtail braid

Hey dolls today I thought I would post about how to do a fish tail braid every time I do this hair style on myself I have a lot of comment and people asking how I did it. So I thought I would show you how to do.
1. Start by brushing all of the knots and tangles out of your hair.
2. Split your hair into two sections
3. Then take a small piece of hair from under the left section of hair
4. Bring that piece of hair over the top of the left section and add it to the right section
5. Now take a small piece of hair from the right section of hair
6. Now take that piece and take it over the right section off hair and add it to your left section.
7. Now to finish of the braid repeat steps 3 to 6

By the end it should look like this ^^

I hope this step by step guide helped

Provoke touch of silver twice a week brightening shampoo

Hey dolls sorry I haven't posted recently I ha no idea what to blog about for a while, until now. I recently to ombré my hair with bleached I love the effect it gave my hair however it left my hair will yellow and orange tones, I desperately wanted blonde ends so I decided to try out a purple shampoo which I had seen advertised recently.

The consistency of the shampoo is really runny and quite messy. It lathers really well though to say it is not a creamy consistency. I left this shampoo in my hair for five minutes as advised on the packaging and then washed it out with warm water and then followed with my usual hair routine.
Before:

After:

All in all I am quite impressed with my first impressions and it left my hair looking more blonde instead of being yellow. I will continue to use this product and to see if I notice any more difference. Although I would advise using a good conditioner or hair mask because it did leave my ends feeling dry.

If you have tried this product please let me know what you thought,
